• Reporting to the Business Unit Manager of the Parkinson Business Unit, the main responsibilities of the Area Manager will include: Aligning national strategic priorities with local needs.
• Managing and monitoring the delegates along with the KPIs of the in-field team.
• Developing the account sales plan and communicating it to the Managers and their Sales teams.
• Ensuring the proper use of sales force management systems.
• Developing and implementing a development plan for the delegates.
• Influencing the opinions of key stakeholders (e.g., KOLs, highly prescribing physicians, regional distributors), as identified by the Brand Team strategy and planned activities in the in-field team of the account.
• Ensuring optimal resource utilization within and among in-field teams.
• Training the network on how to work in a multidisciplinary in-field team.
• Driving multidisciplinary in-field meetings at the brand level.
• Ensuring that engagement plans between accounts align with the brand strategy and that overall execution across accounts meets expectations.
• Contributing to the generation of the cross-sectional vision of the account.
• Assisting in the creation and development of the AbbVie In Field Team.
• Coordinating with Area Managers from other lines and Territorial Managers of Health Management (Market Access) to ensure consistency, achieve synergies, and coordinate the implementation of the account plan.
• Contributing to the creation of the cross-sectional diagnosis of the account, defining a cross-sectional action plan, and building the global vision of the account.
• Identifying decision drivers and access barriers at the account level, analyzing and estimating the potential sales impact of these barriers along with the rest of the AbbVie InField team, and figuring out how to overcome them.
• Responsible for building a financial brand vision for the account (Bottom-up brand).
• Ensuring the transmission of information, knowledge, and brand messages across various levels and working forums where involved (Brand Team, InField Team, and AbbVie InField).
• A degree in Health Sciences is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in similar positions, managing teams, and working with hospital prescription products.
• Previous experience in Neurology will be valued.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment, understanding the dynamics among key stakeholders.
• Understanding of access dynamics at the account and regional levels.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance environments.
• Good level of English.
