📋 Description

• Define and evolve the technological vision and architecture of Astrea, establishing a concrete modernization plan for the stack and reducing technical debt, aligned with the product roadmap.

• Make strategic technical decisions regarding the product — architecture, technology choices, build vs. buy trade-offs — ensuring they support the evolution and growth of Astrea, including decisions on adopting AI and productivity tools that enhance the team's delivery capacity.

• Anticipate technological trends in the legaltech and B2B SaaS markets to ensure continuous innovation and technical competitiveness of the product.

• Define and monitor key KPIs and OKRs for the product technology area, reporting results to the CPO and providing data-driven insights for the decision-making process.

• Define, implement, and evolve software engineering processes, tools, and practices — CI/CD, quality, automated testing, code review, releases — ensuring high cadence and reliability in deliveries.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Product and Technology in building and refining the Astrea product roadmap, ensuring technical feasibility, realistic estimates, and delivery speed.

• Ensure delivery teams operate with high productivity and quality, promoting modern engineering practices and intelligent adoption of AI to triple delivery capacity.

• Coordinate technical dependencies between product teams, ensuring alignment, integration, and absence of bottlenecks in the development flow.

• Proactively map and address accumulated technical debt, prioritizing initiatives with the greatest impact on performance, stability, and delivery speed.

• Ensure that Astrea maintains high performance, availability, and reliability in production, with a constant focus on the end-user experience.

• Define and monitor performance and availability SLAs for the product, establishing monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.

• Lead the solutions team, ensuring that customer technical issues are resolved quickly, with quality and generating learning for the product team.

• Oversee the performance team in identifying and proactively correcting bottlenecks, ensuring the product's scalability as the customer base grows.

• Lead, develop, and hold accountable the technical leaders of the four teams for their areas' results.

• Build and maintain a high-performance engineering culture, characterized by autonomy, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

• Attract, develop, and retain high-performance technical talent, ensuring the constant evolution of team members.

• Promote a data-driven culture and evidence-based decision-making within the product technology teams.

• Manage the product technology area's budget focusing on efficiency, prioritizing investments with the highest strategic return for the roadmap.

• Identify and implement process, tool, and automation improvements that enhance team productivity and efficiency.

• Negotiate tools, licenses, and technological services used in product development and operations.

• Evaluate and recommend the adoption of AI and automation tools in the development cycle, focusing on measurable productivity gains for the teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.

• At least 8 years of experience in technology, with a solid background in software development and system architecture.

• A minimum of 3 years in senior technical leadership roles (Tech Lead, Head of Engineering, Staff, Architect, Engineering Manager, or equivalent).

• Proven experience in B2B SaaS companies, with a successful track record in delivering digital products in high-growth environments — including contexts of technical debt, architecture modernization, or performance turnaround.

• Solid experience managing technology teams of 15+ people, including leading multiple squads and developing intermediate technical leadership (Tech Leads, Engineering Managers).

• Deep knowledge of scalable software architecture, modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability), and web application performance management.

• Ability to make strategic technical decisions based on data, clearly communicating them to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in highly complex technical environments, including systems with legacy code, multiple dependencies, or architecture in migration/modernization processes.

• Strong results orientation, ability to work under pressure, and skill in prioritizing in fast-paced and complex environments.

• Excellent collaboration skills with product, design, and business teams.

• Preferred qualifications include:

• Proficiency in React and Angular on the frontend, and Java and Kotlin on the backend.

• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience in the Lawtech market.

• Familiarity with incremental architecture migration strategies (strangler fig, monolith modularization, etc.).

• Experience with observability and APM tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Grafana).

• Familiarity with the use of AI applied to the development cycle (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, automated code review tools, etc.).
