Geotechnical Engineer - Rail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute geotechnical engineering design tasks

• Prepare and submit project proposals

• Oversee project management activities

• Conduct design calculations

• Develop comprehensive project scopes and timelines

• Travel to job sites for site observation

• Deliver constructible designs and adhere to deadlines

• Establish clear communication with clients

• Assist in Rail Construction and Administration Management projects by ensuring the stability of soil and structures

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to effectively collaborate and function as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering is mandatory

• Must hold a valid professional engineer (PE) registration

• Over 4 years of relevant experience in geotechnical analysis and design

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

• Willingness to adopt a flexible work schedule and travel as needed

• Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing 30 pounds or more

• A valid driver's license is required

• Candidates should be open to being based out of or near any Olsson office; proximity to an airport is acceptable

• Ability to work in various terrains and weather conditions
