Geospatial Solutions Architect – Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into effective geospatial solutions utilizing ESRI toolsets.

• Design systems architecture that incorporates ESRI products such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise into cohesive geospatial solutions.

• Create technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation to assist development teams in constructing ESRI-based solutions.

• Exhibit expertise in ESRI toolsets, APIs, and libraries to craft customized solutions.

• Assess the relevance of ESRI extensions and add-ons to fulfill specific project needs.

• Leverage ESRI's geospatial capabilities to tackle intricate spatial challenges and provide actionable insights.

• Provide support for ESRI products including Notebook Server, Knowledge Server, ArcPro, Monitor, and others.

• Spearhead the development of bespoke geospatial applications and tools utilizing ESRI's APIs (ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcPy, ArcObjects, etc.).

• Integrate ESRI solutions with various enterprise systems and databases to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability.

• Offer thought leadership on innovative cloud-based strategies and integrations to enhance program effectiveness across the organization.

• Design and implement geodatabases utilizing ESRI's geodatabase model, maintaining data integrity, relationships, and geospatial standards.

• Optimize data storage, indexing, and querying for extensive geospatial datasets within ESRI environments.

• Plan and carry out the deployment of ESRI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or on-premises infrastructure.

• Configure and manage components of ArcGIS Enterprise, including web services, map services, and data services.

• Employ advanced geospatial analysis techniques using ESRI's spatial analytics tools.

• Develop dynamic and visually engaging geospatial visualizations, dashboards, and web maps through ArcGIS Online and other ESRI tools.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, data scientists, project managers, and clients.

• Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide guidance and recommendations to clients on how to leverage ESRI technologies to solve their geospatial challenges.

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of geospatial solutions through thorough testing and validation.

• Enhance the performance of ESRI-based applications, addressing latency and responsiveness concerns.

• Stay informed about updates, releases, and best practices related to ESRI products.

• Investigate and experiment with new ESRI tools and capabilities to propose innovative solutions for complex geospatial issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 5 years of experience working with ESRI toolsets, products, and technologies.

• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to ESRI environments (Python, JavaScript, .NET).

• Comprehensive understanding of geodatabase design, spatial data formats, and geospatial analysis methodologies.

• Experience with the deployment and management of ArcGIS Enterprise and its associated components.

• Practical knowledge of utilizing webhooks, accessing APIs, and interacting with REST services.

• Strong communication abilities for effective teamwork and client interaction.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with ESRI products.

• Capability to create engaging geospatial visualizations and dashboards using ArcGIS Online.

• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to devise innovative solutions using ESRI toolsets.
