This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement Python-driven geospatial models that assess environmental and physical hazards with a level of accuracy that influences significant business decisions.
• Design and develop the geospatial data pipelines for Neural Earth, encompassing the systems, infrastructure, and scientific frameworks that convert raw hazard data into indexed intelligence products.
• Transform intricate, multi-hazard scientific insights into market-ready products that are clear and persuasive for insurance underwriters, government agencies, and enterprise decision-makers.
• Act as the internal and external subject matter expert on geospatial data science for Neural Earth, facilitating customer interactions, proposal development, and strategic discussions.
• Implement rigorous validation protocols for all geospatial models, ensuring that methodologies are reproducible, cross-validated, and defensible across various industries and locations.
• Master's or PhD in Geospatial Science, Data Science, Atmospheric or Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience working with geospatial data in either research or applied settings, beyond academic training.
• Previous experience in sectors such as insurance, energy, government, defense, or climate technology.
• Proven track record of developing and leading technical capabilities, which includes managing or mentoring at least one direct report.
