This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in GIS projects pertaining to natural resources, environmental concerns, land management, and conservation initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and analyze geospatial datasets and databases.
• Generate maps, dashboards, web applications, and various GIS products for clients and project teams.
• Set up and provide support for ArcGIS desktop, web, and mobile applications.
• Aid in GIS workflows, data collection initiatives, and field support activities.
• Produce technical documentation, user manuals, workflows, and project outputs.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in either a hybrid or remote work setup.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Contribute to process enhancements and innovative geospatial solutions.
• For senior candidates, offer technical leadership, project oversight, mentorship, and coordination of GIS development and deployment activities.
• Proven experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, natural resource management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Esri software products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and/or mobile GIS applications.
• Expertise in GIS data management, editing, quality control, and cartographic production.
• Experience with the configuration and deployment of Web GIS applications.
• Proficient in developing technical documentation, reporting, and workflows.
• Background in supporting environmental, natural resource, land management, engineering, or similar programs.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Federal DOI clearance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Dedication to producing high-quality technical outputs.
• Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies and workflows.
• Preferred: experience in natural resources, environmental science, conservation, forestry, wildlife, water resources, or public lands management.
• Preferred: familiarity with ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, QuickCapture, Collector, or other mobile GIS platforms.
• Preferred: experience in Python or geoprocessing script development.
• Some roles may require the ability to secure a security clearance.
• Security clearances are generally granted only to U.S. citizens; applicants accepting a conditional offer may undergo government security investigations and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
