Geospatial Analyst – LC/GC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, analyze, edit, and uphold essential geospatial datasets.

• Create and sustain GIS products utilizing ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS IMAGINE, and other relevant geospatial software.

• Assist in JANUS Geography Land and Ground Cover production activities.

• Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of products.

• Analyze and process imagery and remote sensing data.

• Keep standardized file structures and documentation updated.

• Work collaboratively with teams located across various regions to adhere to production timelines and fulfill customer needs.

• Leverage Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File Explorer for documentation and workflow management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing, Geography, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• Over 2 years of pertinent geospatial experience.

• Previous involvement in supporting JANUS Geography Land and Ground Cover initiatives, such as VISNAV, IWLSISS, SoilScape, JG233, JG248, JG261, or JG282.

• Proficiency in using ArcGIS 10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro with relevant extensions, or ERDAS IMAGINE.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Competence in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File Explorer.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a production-oriented setting.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality geospatial products.

• Experience in creating both standard and non-standard geospatial products and datasets is preferred.

• Prior Quality Control experience supporting JANUS Geography production is highly valued and may enhance consideration for senior-level positions.

• Most available positions necessitate US Citizenship.
