📋 Description

• Deliver services and support as a Geophysicist [Independent Engineering (IE) Advisory Services] that aligns with the Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation For Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline within the Energy Sector (Oil, Gas, Power, and Utilities), focusing on RM | Risk Management Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) | DOE Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program. This role is generally situated in CONUS, specifically in Washington, DC / Nationwide, and involves remote project support across the United States.

• Function as a Geophysicist within the Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation For Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) swim lane, providing bankable, technically robust Independent Engineering advisory services by transforming discipline-specific engineering, construction, compliance, operational, commercial, and risk insights into lender-ready due diligence, monitoring, certification, and decision-support documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making for lenders and the DOE.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory; proven experience in oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical discipline.

• Preferred credentials include PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other discipline-specific certifications where applicable.

• Skills should primarily focus on Engineering Services initiatives and be aligned with Program Support activities related to Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation For Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) Functional Area Activities.

• Expertise in independent engineering review; documentation discipline aligned with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO); technical due diligence; risk assessment; seismic interpretation; geophysical risk; subsurface characterization; data room review; tracking information requests; report writing; Excel-based analysis; coordinating with stakeholders; and presenting findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.

• Possess technical judgment; independence and objectivity; analytical rigor; attention to detail; defensible documentation; a client service orientation; collaborative cross-functional abilities; issue escalation capability; a quality-focused mindset; schedule discipline; and the ability to convert technical evidence into actionable insights regarding risk, compliance, and financing implications.
