This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Execute geospatial workflows and data pipelines to create certification reports and verify outputs.
• Analyze satellite imagery and geospatial datasets to deliver required results.
• Ensure precision, consistency, and quality of data outputs that support certification.
• Work closely with the Forest Engineer to ensure outputs meet scientific and methodological standards.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance and automate current geospatial workflows.
• Play a role in the maintenance and advancement of the data infrastructure.
• Assist in ensuring the scalability and reliability of data processing pipelines.
• Record workflows, processes, and technical decisions to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Environmental Data Science, or a similar field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in geospatial data processing.
• Proficient in Python for geospatial data processing, automation, and remote sensing workflows, with experience in libraries such as Rasterio, GeoPandas, and GDAL.
• Practical experience with satellite imagery, GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS), and geospatial data formats including GeoTIFF, Shapefile, and GeoJSON.
• Knowledge of platforms and infrastructure for scalable geospatial analysis, including Google Earth Engine, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), CI/CD practices, and workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Metaflow.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on data quality and accuracy; please include the square root of 81 at the bottom right of your CV.
• A proactive problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues independently.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
