This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• The Genesis OR Consultant is responsible for delivering onsite and remote consulting initiatives aimed at identifying opportunities to implement best practice solutions for da Vinci Surgery, focusing on standardization, efficiency, staff training, cost containment, and block scheduling.
• They will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, as well as with Sales, Marketing, Customer Training, Customer Services, and Tech Support, to ensure that clients have the essential tools to launch, optimize, and maintain a successful robotic surgery program.
• Independently manage the assigned territory while efficiently organizing work time and scheduling.
• Conduct Genesis OR Consultant and educational initiatives directed at strategically selected customers.
• Oversee complex, extended customer engagements and work in tandem with customers and Intuitive's commercial, service, and support teams to create multifaceted, customized solutions and recommendations based on hospital usage patterns, processes, protocols, goals, and other feedback.
• Identify customer needs, utilization barriers, and potential opportunities.
• Prioritize possible solutions and secure alignment with hospital leadership to facilitate the implementation of recommendations.
• Monitor progress and regularly update customers on the status according to the schedule outlined in the recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing partners to provide tailored customer assistance as required.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to define, measure, and enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of Genesis content programs.
• Generate reports and analyze data as needed in preparation for customer engagements.
• Offer in-person and/or remote consulting services to deliver value to clients.
• Support customer-facing and internal Genesis and Intuitive events and conferences.
• A B.S./B.A. degree is preferred, or an equivalent clinical/medical degree or experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of documented professional experience in healthcare or hospital management, either in a B2B sales role or a management position within a hospital.
• Experience in an Operating Room and/or Sterile Processing Department environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and achieve results as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to present to various group sizes.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility regarding work hours is essential.
• Strong business acumen – capable of functioning in an executive business environment and understanding the operational needs of the OR.
• Proficient communication skills – able to deliver consistent and effective messages across different organizational levels.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or Change Management skills are advantageous.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (or equivalent), project management capabilities, and a proven track record of leading complex customer-facing projects related to OR efficiency, productivity, or cost containment.
• Fluent in English and the local language as necessary.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 70% of the time.
