Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the upkeep of generators, identifying and resolving issues, installing and replacing parts or complete systems, and carrying out additional maintenance or upgrades on off-season machinery.

• Performing routine performance evaluations and maintenance on generators to guarantee they are ready for operation, interpreting and adhering to blueprints or other design specifications for installation or repair tasks.

• Installing fuel and water supply pipelines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other components, and conducting tests to ensure proper functionality.

• Accountable for promptly responding to Power/Generator alarms; must be available for on-call duty 24/7 when necessary and respond quickly to assigned phone calls and emails.

• Execute tasks with an awareness of all potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other machinery, including but not limited to risks of falls, electrical shock, falling objects, and traffic; utilize safety gear and follow safety protocols; participate in all required safety and training meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of generator installations, maintenance, and repairs; familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; basic computer skills are required.

• Fundamental knowledge of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
