Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Responsible for maintaining generators, diagnosing and resolving issues, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and executing additional maintenance or upgrades on off-season equipment.

• Carry out performance checks and routine maintenance on generators to ensure operational readiness, interpreting and adhering to blueprints or design specifications during installations or repairs.

• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other components, and conduct tests to confirm proper functionality.

• Accountable for responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms; must be available for on-call duties 24/7 if necessary and respond swiftly to assigned phone and email communications.

• Execute tasks with an understanding of all potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other machinery, including but not limited to risks of falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; employ safety equipment and follow safety practices; participate in all required safety and training meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.

• At least one year of substantial work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair.

• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.

• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
