This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute extensive SEO and AI Search strategies that align with reputation, business, and public policy objectives.
• Determine key topics, narratives, and search landscapes in significant markets.
• Keep track of AEO advancements, including generative search, AI Overviews, and citation patterns of large language models.
• Convert emerging search trends into actionable recommendations for owned, earned, and paid media channels.
• Oversee, monitor, and enhance Search and AEO performance infrastructure utilizing relevant tools and platforms.
• Create and maintain regular performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor content visibility, share of voice, and AEO citation trends to detect strategic changes.
• Offer data-driven insights regarding content and messaging priorities, audience targeting, competitive landscapes, and AEO citation evaluations.
• Convert local search data into actionable insights for reputation management, amplification, and communication strategies.
• Manage SEO and AEO vendors, as well as paid media and creative agencies, along with specialist contractors.
• Define scopes of work, ensure quality and delivery oversight, and assess vendor performance.
• Cultivate relationships with teams focused on reputation, communications, growth marketing, business, and public policy.
• Manage multiple workstreams with clear timelines and effective communication.
• Act as the representative for the Search and AEO function in cross-functional planning.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO.
• Proven track record in enhancing search performance within a multi-channel or multi-market context.
• Proficient in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Screaming Frog, AHREFs, SEMrush, Conductor, Moz, or similar enterprise SEO tools.
• Working knowledge of AEO and the tools utilized for monitoring and optimization, including Profound, Conductor, or equivalent.
• Understanding of SEM and paid media and their interplay with organic search.
• Strong analytical abilities to discern significant patterns in performance data.
• Capable of presenting findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with external vendors, agencies, or contractors, including scope definition and delivery management.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Google Gemini, or NotebookLM.
• Proven project management skills across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate search concepts to policy and communications colleagues.
• Experience in public affairs, policy communications, corporate reputation, or a related field is advantageous.
• Background in technology or startup environments is a plus.
• Understanding of the political and regulatory landscape surrounding short-term rentals, housing, or the broader technology sector is beneficial.
• Valuable experience in supporting international or multi-market teams with localized search strategies.
• Background in competitive intelligence or media monitoring is desirable.
• Availability for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to work remotely in alignment with Pacific Time.
