This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Perform a gender analysis of the rice production segment for each country at the cluster level to effectively engage our target demographics;
• Assist PMOs in incorporating and leveraging the project’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GEI) practices within their action plans;
• Create and contribute to the preparation of training materials and capacity-building modules focused on GEI topics for the PMOs’ gender focal points (PFG), clients (producers), and OPA offices;
• Aid in the formulation and execution of a strategy to guarantee sustainable access to quality agricultural land for young rice farmers, especially young women;
• Facilitate organized and inclusive community discussions to achieve consensus on solutions to challenges that hinder rice production by young women, young men, or individuals with disabilities;
• Conduct field visits as requested by the project to support and oversee the execution of the GEI action plan and prepare corresponding progress reports.
• Advanced degree in gender studies, sociology, or a related field, preferably a master’s degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in conducting gender analyses, delivering training, facilitating community engagement, and enhancing agricultural organizations on gender matters.
• Experience in gender equality and social inclusion within the agricultural sector, ideally in the rice value chain.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in French, along with familiarity with social media platforms.
• Knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
• Competence with the institution’s standard software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
