Senior Consultant, Azure

📋 Description

• Oversee customer projects to ensure they are delivered within budget, on time, and in alignment with specified business and technical objectives, while fostering an exceptional customer experience.

• Act as a dependable technical escalation resource, addressing intricate issues and leveraging these situations to enhance team capabilities.

• Collaborate effectively with Project Management to establish expectations, communicate potential risks, and ensure transparent stakeholder alignment throughout all engagements.

• Contribute to Coretek's culture of relationship-building by consistently exhibiting Accountability, Integrity, and Relationships in interactions with customers and internal teams.

• Lead the discovery phase and requirements gathering to grasp the customer's business motivations, technical limitations, and targeted results.

• Design and execute Azure infrastructure solutions, including comprehensive solution designs, implementation strategies, verification procedures, and operational documentation.

• Establish new Azure environments by employing Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework principles, notably migrating on-premises and cloud workloads using Azure Migrate when appropriate.

• Assess implemented solutions for functionality, security, resilience, and operational readiness prior to customer handover.

• Streamline the onboarding of customer environments to Managed Services through effective knowledge transfer, transition planning, and thorough documentation.

• Create implementation strategies and technical guidance that empower other team members to carry out build tasks consistently and precisely.

• Conduct troubleshooting, remediation, and root cause analysis for complex Azure infrastructure challenges.

• Assist in the development and review of Statements of Work, technical scopes, solution assumptions, and estimates for intricate Azure projects.

• Examine solution designs and bills of materials with manufacturers, partners, or internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project specifications.

• Enhance Coretek-defined standards, templates, and repeatable delivery assets based on practical experience and insights gained.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental Azure Infrastructure: Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, storage solutions, Azure Migrate, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.

• Networking: ExpressRoute, virtual networks, routing, load balancing, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, Private Link, private endpoints, and ingress services.

• Platform Services: Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Service, Cosmos DB, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and associated PaaS capabilities.

• Security, Identity, and Governance: Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, encryption, data protection, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and governance frameworks.

• Cost Management: Azure Cost Management, cost optimization strategies, rightsizing, tagging practices, and consumption management methodologies.

• Automation and IaC Delivery: Ideal candidates will possess experience in deploying Azure infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code and automation. Core expertise should include the ability to utilize provided modules, scripts, and pipelines, as well as edit or refactor existing code. Relevant tools and platforms may encompass ARM or Bicep templates, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Packer, Azure DevOps, and PowerShell.
