GCP Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of GCP data pipelines and workflows for both batch and streaming tasks.

• Diagnose failures, data delays, performance issues, and configuration challenges.

• Collaborate with Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other related GCP services.

• Enhance current pipelines to boost data refresh rates and overall reliability.

• Aid in platform and configuration upgrades while ensuring compliance across environments.

• Partner with Data Engineering, BI, and application teams to address production challenges and implement enhancements.

• Rapidly grasp existing systems to facilitate practical improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in Data/Cloud Engineering with practical knowledge of GCP.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with Spanner, BigQuery, and both batch and streaming pipelines.

• Solid understanding of GCP IAM, monitoring, logging, and production support practices.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the capability to quickly adapt in a complex environment.

• Experience with Tableau/Looker, App Engine, or AI/LLM applications is an advantage.
