Game Developer – Game Updates, LiveOps (Web, Mobile)

Posted May 6

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• As a key member of our Publishing team, you will take charge of the games within our portfolio.

• You will implement regular updates, deliver new content and features, and manage live events.

• Within one month, you will have familiarized yourself with one of our existing IP games, navigated its codebase, and released your first content update or enhancement to production on both web and mobile platforms.

• By the three-month mark, you will be acquainted with several IP titles, established a regular update cycle for a specific title, designed an effective LiveOps schedule, and launched at least one significant new feature or event.

• After six months, you will be independently generating ideas, scoping projects, and releasing updates.

• You will suggest future developments based on the game's context, genre, and player feedback, rather than merely executing tasks from a backlog.

• Within one year, you will have played a crucial role in enhancing LiveOps across our IP portfolio, implementing systems, tools, and practices to ensure multiple live games are thriving simultaneously.

• Deliver a new content drop or seasonal event for one of our active IP games on both web and mobile.

• Explore an unfamiliar codebase to strategize how to incorporate a new feature without disrupting existing functionality.

• Design and execute a new game mode, progression system, or monetization mechanism suited to the genre.

• Analyze retention, session duration, and engagement metrics to recommend improvements or additions to the team.

• Collaborate with the Publishing team on the LiveOps roadmap and prioritization process.

• Maintain a clean Git history, document your contributions, and ensure that each subsequent update is smoother than the last.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess over three years of professional experience in game development, with successfully launched titles on both web and mobile platforms.

• Have experience in web game development beyond merely exporting a Unity project to WebGL.

• Proficient in building, optimizing, and deploying games that function natively within a browser.

• Strong background in mobile game development (iOS and Android) with an understanding of the performance, input, and UX variations across platforms.

• Fluent in multiple programming languages and ecosystems, primarily C# and JavaScript/TypeScript, with a solid understanding of software architecture and OOP principles.

• Capable of navigating an existing codebase, comprehending its structure, and confidently extending it. This role focuses on enhancing existing games 99% of the time, rather than greenfield projects.

• Possess a LiveOps mentality: think in terms of update cycles, retention rates, events, and iteration, rather than a ship-and-forget approach.

• Utilize Git effectively in collaborative environments and prioritize enhancing the codebase for future developers.

• Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and dedicated to delivering high-quality updates swiftly.

• A strong team player with a genuine ownership attitude: you communicate transparently, take full accountability for your work, and treat every game you contribute to as your own product to nurture and develop.

• Proficient in English (working language).

🏝️ Benefits

• Become part of a rapidly expanding publishing team at a company with over 50 million monthly users and a proven platform reach.

• Make a significant impact by directly influencing the games that millions of players enjoy week after week.

• Enjoy considerable responsibility and autonomy in your role.

• Benefit from flexible working hours and location options.

• Participate in one to two team-building weeks annually, with flight and accommodation costs covered for team bonding experiences.

• Enjoy the opportunity to play games and consider it part of your work.
