This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and develop AI behaviors in Unreal Engine utilizing State Trees and Blackboards.
• Construct and refine Character, Camera, and Controls.
• Seamlessly integrate AI with other game systems to build an engaging and dynamic world.
• Share expertise, mentor, and provide support to colleagues in your specialization.
• Promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and artists to create outstanding player-facing features.
• Demonstrated experience in developing AI behaviors within Unreal Engine.
• A passion for the 3Cs (Character, Controls, Camera) and familiarity with Third-Person games.
• Proficient understanding of State Trees, Blackboards, Perception, and GAS.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Strong foundation in C++ programming.
• Experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in UI and gameplay systems.
• Bonus Experience:
• Familiarity with Unreal Replication.
• Background in cooperative or multiplayer character systems, including replication, prediction, and lag compensation.
• Exposure to AI-driven narrative or social simulation systems.
• Experience with systemic game design, including emergent mechanics, simulation-driven worlds, and sandbox titles.
