This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assume responsibility for designated gameplay features, ensuring their complete implementation, refinement, and consistency across all related disciplines.
• Design, implement, and uphold core gameplay systems within Unreal Engine 5, primarily utilizing C++ with a significant emphasis on replication and performance.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and enhance gameplay-related issues throughout the production lifecycle.
• Work in close collaboration with designers, artists, and other engineers to produce cohesive and well-integrated gameplay systems.
• Provide updates on progress, risks, and technical decisions to the Technical Director.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a gameplay or game programmer.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Significant experience with Unreal Engine, particularly its gameplay framework.
• In-depth knowledge of the Unreal Network Stack, including the Push Model.
• Proficient in using debugging and profiling tools.
• Capability to work independently, take ownership of features, and drive them to completion.
• Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English.
• Contribute to Ardem, a highly anticipated survival game, and help establish a new standard in the industry.
