Fundraising Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Sustain existing relationships with donors and partnerships within a designated regional area.

• Cultivate new relationships and partnerships to enhance community engagement and attract new donors.

• Oversee stakeholder, mosque, and community relationships.

• Coordinate Jummah or Taraweeh collections and distribute campaign materials effectively.

• Organize community and mosque fundraisers to generate funds and raise awareness.

• Achieve fundraising goals while ensuring a favorable return on investment.

• Formalize partnerships through memoranda of understanding or contracts.

• Offer fundraising support and address regional inquiries.

• Communicate performance metrics and provide regular updates to the Line Manager.

• Utilize regional and personal social media platforms to promote messaging, campaigns, activities, and appeals.

• Recruit, train, and manage regional volunteers.

• Lead volunteer teams in the planning and execution of community events, IRC events, challenges, and tours.

• Attend and network at both local and IRC events to foster relationships and recruit volunteers.

• Represent the organization at both IR and non-IR events.

• Ensure the availability of materials and equipment for events.

• Load, deliver, and return event materials and equipment as required.

• Maintain an inventory of fundraising and promotional materials.

• Proven experience in building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders.

• Background in project coordination, specifically related to events and campaigns.

• Experience in organizing and supervising events successfully.

• Experience in recruiting, managing, and developing volunteers effectively.

• Knowledge and understanding of the local region and its community.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to inspire and manage volunteers effectively.

• Strong motivation and empathy towards the organization's aims and objectives.

• Proficiency in numerical skills, accuracy under pressure, and attention to detail.

• Capability to represent Islamic Relief in a variety of situations.

• IT literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite, databases, and project management tools.

• Strong organizational skills, including prioritization, planning, deadline management, and monitoring systems.

• A valid local driving license and access to a vehicle.

• Flexible approach to work to accommodate events, functions, and work activities.

• Willingness to travel nationally on short notice.
