This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with the Funding Manager, Funding Supervisor, Branch Manager, Rehabilitation Technology Supplier, and office support staff to carry out operational processes.
β’ Oversee the entire funding transaction cycle, which includes Coding & Pricing, gathering necessary documentation, submitting funding packages, and obtaining payer decisions.
β’ Manage the transaction cycle duration from Ready to Process to Final Funding Approval.
β’ Acquire missing demographic information and ensure that client details and Minimum Documentation Requirements are accurately reflected in the work order.
β’ Verify client benefits and coverage, and effectively communicate benefit details.
β’ Collect and examine prescriptions, Letters of Medical Necessity, RTS evaluation data, price lists, and required documentation.
β’ Liaise with physicians, therapists, RTSs, clients, branch staff, and referral sources to secure necessary documentation and information.
β’ Assess and update payer requirements in the UPD.
β’ Maintain communication with clients, including informing them of their financial responsibilities.
β’ Follow up with payer sources to secure timely authorization through the Funding Work Queue.
β’ Request and obtain approval for exceptions related to work order credits.
β’ Conduct pre-purchase quality assurance checks and pre-delivery verifications.
β’ Coordinate with other funding departments and address tasks in the Action Required queue.
β’ Execute related duties as assigned by the Funding Manager or Funding Supervisor.
β’ Fulfill continuing education requirements while ensuring regular and predictable attendance.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in Complex Rehab Technology, Medical Billing, or Funding is preferred.
β’ High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary.
β’ Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
β’ Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and the repetitive operation of standard office equipment.
β’ Ability to thrive in a professional office setting.
β’ Must complete all continuing education obligations, including assigned courses through NSM University.
