This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Maintain a thorough and current understanding of existing PIPAG and Clinical Guidance.
• Conduct quality checks on a designated number of Functional Specialist reports daily to ensure they meet required standards.
• Deliver constructive and unbiased audit feedback, enabling Functional Specialists to revise and resubmit reports that meet the necessary criteria.
• Offer impartial and supportive guidance to Functional Specialists who reach out via telephone support lines.
• Assist with telephonic, virtual, or in-person activities and compile own reports monthly when necessary.
• Uphold professional registration and maintain Authority Approval.
• Adhere to the relevant UK Professional Code of Conduct and remain accountable for professional practices.
• Carry out additional responsibilities that are appropriate to the role.
• Maintain clinical calibration to the standards established by the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Management Team.
• Qualified UK-registered Health Professional.
• At least 12 months of post-registration experience.
• Current and unrestricted professional registration with GMC, NMC, or HCPC.
• A minimum of 16 months’ experience as a Functional Specialist.
• Current DWP/DfC approval.
• No pending restrictions or issues regarding professional registration.
• Comprehensive understanding of the physiological, pathological, social, and cultural factors influencing PIP assessment criteria.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven IT skills, including proficiency in specialized IT systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication for effective audit feedback and CRM discussion records.
• Experience in clinical effectiveness, quality assurance standards, feedback, peer review, audit methodology, or impartial review is desirable.
• Familiarity with clinical governance is also desirable.
• £41,500 annual salary.
