Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business needs and convert them into functional specifications.

• Collect, document, and verify requirements using user stories and use cases.

• Examine and document data models to facilitate system design and development.

• Create SQL queries for data analysis and validation of business rules.

• Work collaboratively with development, testing, and business teams to ensure that requirements align with technical solutions.

• Establish and maintain Feature Files in accordance with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) principles.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements reviews.

• Analyze web systems and assist in comprehending applications built in Java and C#.

• Aid in functional testing, validation of requirements, and resolution of issues throughout the development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or in a comparable position.

• Extensive experience in requirements analysis and documentation, particularly with user stories and use cases.

• Practical experience with SQL and data modeling.

• Familiarity with Feature Files and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Background in analyzing web systems, especially applications developed in Java and C#.

• Proven experience working in multidisciplinary teams utilizing Agile methodologies.

• Ability to define clear and testable acceptance criteria.

• Experience in supporting functional testing and validating solutions against business requirements.

• Understanding of test automation and collaborative practices between development and QA teams.
