Fullstack Web Developer – Mid Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within an agile team to define requirements for web applications, writing code and unit tests that adhere to programming best practices and design patterns.

• Engage in the development of technical solutions, working alongside Product and Quality teams.

• Create, sustain, and enhance features of Shift products using approved tools while adhering to standards of coding, architecture, quality, and business rules.

• Assess both functional and non-functional requirements, proposing technically suitable solutions.

• Design, document, implement, and refine REST APIs in accordance with architectural, security, versioning, and documentation standards.

• Generate software engineering artifacts such as ERDs, class diagrams, UML, and other models.

• Estimate technical efforts and assist in delivery planning with the Agilist and the team.

• Maintain current technical documentation.

• Develop and carry out unit, integration, and component tests.

• Suggest functional and technical enhancements for the progression of Shift products.

• Create solutions that align with Security by Design principles and meet security, privacy, and secure development requirements.

• Utilize Generative AI tools in development, analysis, documentation, and software engineering, while adhering to security and governance guidelines.

• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Quality, Agile, and other departments to clarify requirements, align solutions, and ensure value delivery.

• Communicate any impediments, technical risks, and dependencies.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.

• Identify root causes of technical issues and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

• Assist the Agilist in facilitating deliveries.

• Contribute to the development of the knowledge base, standards, checklists, documentation, and best practices.

• Work collaboratively to foster continuous learning, innovation, and enhancement of Shift products and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining web applications.

• Proficient front-end skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular 16+.

• Experience in back-end development with Java, REST APIs, and SQL.

• Understanding of relational database modeling.

• Familiarity with UML modeling and the ability to interpret technical diagrams.

• Experience with source control systems using Git.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, best practices, Clean Code principles, and API design.

• Background in unit testing and continuous integration (CI/CD) practices.

• Experience with Generative AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, for coding, testing, documentation, refactoring, and enhancing productivity.

• Nice-to-have: experience with Quarkus, Docker, and Docker Compose.

• Strong focus on results and quality, customer-centric attitude, planning and organizational skills, and ability to collaborate within a team.
