Fullstack Engineer – Podcast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services that facilitate episode and podcast management workflows.

• Contribute to user-facing interfaces and frontend experiences utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Create and enhance APIs and services that link user experiences with scalable internal infrastructure.

• Propel enhancements to system performance and developer experience throughout the stack.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers from various teams to align on requirements and deliver cohesive experiences.

• Engage in technical discussions, RFCs, and platform decision-making.

• Assist engineers and uphold high standards for code quality and operational practices.

• Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and managing production backend systems using Java, Ruby on Rails, or comparable languages and frameworks.

• Some exposure to React and TypeScript, or a strong desire to develop frontend capabilities.

• Understanding of distributed systems concepts, including asynchronous processing, service-to-service APIs, storage design, and observability.

• Strong focus on user experience for creators.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A growth mindset, curiosity, and openness to experimentation.

• Interest in agile software development and ongoing learning.

• Familiarity with or enthusiasm for podcast ecosystems and creator tools.
