This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Assist in project execution by developing and delivering features, integrations, and fixes for active client projects, working comprehensively from data modeling to user interface.
• Ensure the stability of the platforms by maintaining our production environments: performing dependency and version upgrades, optimizing performance and costs, applying security patches, refactoring code, and addressing technical debt proactively to prevent outages.
• Manage incidents by taking primary responsibility during your rotation. Assess, communicate status updates clearly to both the team and the client, restore services, and then compose a blameless postmortem while ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
• Enhance observability by improving logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting, enabling issues to be identified before clients notice and ensuring the next on-call engineer has the necessary information.
• Automate repetitive tasks by converting recurring manual work into scripts, jobs, or tools; every repeated solution should culminate in automation or a comprehensive runbook.
• Maintain documentation by keeping runbooks, architecture notes, and handover documents up to date and valuable, particularly where audit trails and evidence are critical.
• Provide support to the team by reviewing pull requests, contributing to engineering standards, and serving as a reliable second pair of eyes for delivery teams.
• Two to five years of experience in building and deploying web applications in production, with comfort in both server-side and client-side development.
• Professional proficiency in Python and TypeScript, or a strong expertise in one with substantial working familiarity with the other.
• Strong relational database competencies: schema design, query optimization, and safe migrations.
• Practical experience with a major cloud platform, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure managed as code.
• Proven debugging skills in live systems: analyzing logs and traces, forming hypotheses, isolating causes, and validating solutions.
• A testing mindset that aligns with the risk of changes, favoring small, reversible releases.
• Excellent written communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations. During incidents, providing calm and accurate updates is as valuable as the resolution itself.
• Good judgment regarding when to implement quick fixes and when to wait for a more appropriate solution.
• Ability to work directly with clients, which comes from being part of a forward-deployed team.
• Engage in high-impact work at the intersection of AI and critical infrastructure regulation.
• Gain direct customer exposure and a role in decision-making about the products we develop.
• Work within a small team that has a significant influence; your field insights will shape the product roadmap.
• Experience a modern AI-native development environment (Claude Code, Cursor, multi-model orchestration).
• Enjoy a remote-first work culture.
• Receive competitive compensation.
