Fullstack Developer – Node.js, React – AI Facial Recognition Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Create both frontend (React) and backend APIs (Node.js) for the proprietary AI facial recognition security solution, encompassing essential processes such as KYC verification, liveness detection, and face matching.

• Work in tandem with the AI algorithm team to embed facial recognition and liveness detection models into the product's frontend and backend, developing online inference services that prioritize high concurrency and low latency.

• Design and develop user-facing KYC verification processes with a strong emphasis on security, stability, and user experience.

• Lead the transition from a third-party vendor solution to an in-house system, ensuring a seamless business shift.

• Construct an architecture capable of handling high-concurrency verification requests, incorporating caching strategies, queue management, and retry mechanisms.

• Engage in system architecture design, technology selection, code reviews, and the establishment of engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• 3-8 years of experience in frontend or fullstack development.

• Expertise in the React ecosystem (React hooks, Redux/Zustand, Next.js) and TypeScript.

• Practical experience in Node.js backend development, including RESTful API / GraphQL design, databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching (Redis).

• Familiarity with frontend tools (Vite/Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, pnpm).

• Experience in designing or developing high-concurrency, low-latency systems.

• Proficient in AI-assisted development tools (Cursor / Claude Code / Copilot, etc.) with hands-on experience in AI-assisted development.

• Fluent in Mandarin, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams based in China.
