Full-Stack Software Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain versioned REST and gRPC APIs for managing bare-metal server lifecycles, MachineType definitions, and performing CRUD operations on clusters.

• Create asynchronous workflows to facilitate server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, and cluster initialization, providing durable status updates to callers.

• Build and maintain consoles and interfaces that display hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health metrics.

• Craft error-handling models, idempotency guarantees, and reconciliation loops essential for reliably managing long-running provisioning tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services.

• Proficient in Go (preferred for backend/Kubernetes ecosystem) and modern TypeScript/React (for the Console).

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes primitives along with controller/reconciler patterns.

• Practical experience with bare-metal provisioning processes — including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection.

• Background in developing workflow-driven or event-driven systems (e.g., Temporal) where operations are long-running and state consistency is crucial across retries and failures.

• Experience in creating informers or reconciliation bridges to maintain external datastore consistency with Kubernetes resource states (preferred).

• Experience in building platforms that require strict data and network isolation between tenants (preferred).

• Knowledge of Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration (ArgoCD or Flux) (preferred).

• Familiarity with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance datacenter fabrics (preferred).
