This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Infrastructure API Design: Create, develop, and sustain the versioned REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal server lifecycle, MachineType definitions, and cluster CRUD operations.
• Provisioning & Workflow Development: Build the asynchronous workflows that facilitate server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up, providing durable status to callers.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Develop and uphold the consoles and interfaces that display hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health.
• System Reliability: Craft the error-handling models, idempotency guarantees, and reconciliation loops essential for managing long-running provisioning operations with reliability.
• API Development: Extensive experience in designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services. You possess a solid understanding of API versioning and gateway patterns.
• Language Stack: Skilled in Go (preferred for backend/Kubernetes ecosystem) and modern TypeScript/React (for the Console).
• Kubernetes Knowledge: In-depth comprehension of Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns. You will engage with systems such as k0rdent, Metal3, and Cluster API to convert high-level API calls into infrastructure actions.
• Bare-Metal Provisioning: Practical experience with bare-metal provisioning workflows — BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection.
• Asynchronous Systems: Background in building workflow-driven or event-driven systems (e.g., Temporal) where operations are long-running and state consistency across retries and failures is crucial.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in crafting informers or reconciliation bridges that maintain consistency between an external datastore and Kubernetes resource state.
• Multi-Tenancy: Experience in constructing platforms necessitating strict data and network isolation among tenants.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Acquainted with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Hardware Domain: Familiarity with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance datacenter fabrics.
• Collaborate with a recognized Silicon Valley leader in the cloud infrastructure sector;
• Engage with exceptionally passionate, skilled, and dynamic colleagues, assisting Fortune 500 and Global 2000 clients in implementing next-generation cloud technologies;
• Be part of groundbreaking, open-source innovations;
• Excel in the high-energy atmosphere of a young company that values openness, collaboration, risk-taking, and continuous growth;
• Access professional development and training opportunities;
• Participate in conferences and working groups;
• Enjoy company outings, happy hours, hackathons, and tech talks;
• Receive a competitive compensation package along with a robust benefits plan.
