Full Stack Software Engineer – Customer & Service Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and manage scalable backend services and web applications for Customer Account, Service, and Loyalty.

• Design and develop APIs, services, and integrations utilizing Java or Kotlin.

• Integrate systems and data leveraging event-driven architectures, including Apache Kafka.

• Implement frontend functionality using TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web technologies as necessary.

• Collaborate with AWS to influence infrastructure and deployment processes through Infrastructure as Code.

• Maintain high software quality and platform stability via automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, and observability.

• Participate in architecture and technology decisions while continuously enhancing shared engineering standards.

• Work closely with Product Management, UX, Data, and other Engineering teams.

• Take responsibility for solutions from conception to production operations.

• Utilize contemporary AI-assisted development tools and thoroughly evaluate their output to ensure high quality.

• Build a Unified Commerce Platform that integrates online and offline channels.


⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of software development experience, preferably in a full-stack or backend role.

• Strong expertise in Java or Kotlin.

• Familiarity with modern backend architectures and APIs.

• Solid understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with contemporary frontend frameworks such as React, Preact, or Vue.

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies and distributed systems.

• Experience with AWS or a comparable cloud computing platform.

• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with automated testing.

• Strong dedication to maintainable, testable, and clean code.

• Understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, and observability practices.

• Self-motivated, pragmatic, and team-oriented work ethic.

• Proficiency in German at a minimum B2 level.

• Fluent in English.

• Nice to have: Experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, ECS, Cognito, or DynamoDB.

• Nice to have: Experience with Playwright, Jest, Vitest, JUnit, or Testcontainers.

• Nice to have: Understanding of accessibility, web performance, or server-side rendering.

• Nice to have: Experience with Customer Account, CRM, Loyalty, or customer service systems.

• Nice to have: Background in e-commerce, marketplace, or platform environments.
