This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop technology for the setup, promotion, and launch of Netflix content across the service and social media channels.
• Create products and services that oversee a global entertainment catalog, facilitating member discovery, selection, and discussion of content.
• Establish workflows for tagging content with genres, characters, storylines, and other essential dimensions.
• Design, initiate, and promote engaging experiences for fans worldwide.
• Produce editorial content that fosters a deeper connection for fans with titles.
• Design and utilize GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs to enhance client experiences.
• Develop resilient, high-scale, low-latency production services.
• Construct intricate user interfaces and contribute to contemporary frontend architecture.
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to build, test, deploy, and launch features from start to finish.
• Engage in on-call rotations and lead incident review sessions.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decisions through both written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in working across the entire software stack.
• Experience in designing and utilizing GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs.
• Recent, hands-on backend experience with Java, C#, or a comparable object-oriented language.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with microservices, data modeling, and API design.
• Capability to convert business requirements into technical designs and data models.
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts, including multithreading, parallelism, and software observability.
• Recent, hands-on experience in developing intricate, high-quality user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
• Exposure to React and modern frontend architecture, encompassing component design, state management, and performance optimization.
• Strong judgment in UI/UX design.
• Ability to clarify complex technical concepts to cross-functional colleagues.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with design, product, and engineering teams.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and lead incident reviews.
