This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate in the design, development, and maintenance of features for the Aedeon frontend (using React + Next.js) under the mentorship of senior engineers.
• Engage with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to comprehend requirements and assist in transforming features from specifications to shipped, tested releases.
• Take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, while developing a product-first mindset.
• Gain insights into the complete ownership of features — from development through deployment and post-release validation.
• Learn to decompose tasks according to sprint timelines and proactively identify blockers.
• Observe how the team collaborates with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth and repeatable releases.
• Acquire knowledge of test-driven development: create test cases prior to coding, with guidance from a mentor.
• Assist in creating test cases for the features you develop — encompassing functional flows, edge cases, and regression scenarios.
• Get familiar with AI-assisted tools for generating test coverage, as well as automated test suites (E2E, integration, unit) integrated into CI/CD workflows.
• Produce clear, well-documented code and submit pull requests for review.
• Document your work, including features, test plans, and decisions, in Confluence or a similar platform, ensuring others can follow along without your presence.
• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (final-year students are encouraged to apply).
• Basic understanding of React.js fundamentals, including components, state, and hooks.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and the basics of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Some experience with Next.js, Git, and contemporary frontend tools is advantageous, but not mandatory; we are here to teach you.
• No previous professional experience is necessary; personal projects, academic coursework, or participation in hackathons are all valid.
• A keen interest in understanding how production software is delivered — beyond just the coding aspect.
• Willingness to seek feedback and iterate quickly based on it.
• A genuine passion for testing discipline and quality, rather than merely focusing on feature output.
• Equal opportunities in all employment practices.
• Commitment to a non-discrimination policy based on various factors.
