Full Stack Engineer, Data-Focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain comprehensive product features that leverage data and AI to enhance the experiences of customers, agents, supervisors, and administrators.

• Create backend services, APIs, workflows, and integrations that link product systems with data and AI functionalities.

• Utilize customer interaction data, conversation logs, analytics models, and operational datasets to facilitate AI-driven features.

• Collaborate with AI, Data Platform, Product, QA, and various engineering teams to architect and deliver dependable customer-facing systems.

• Contribute to the development of data pipelines, data models, and internal tools that enhance the usability of product and operational data.

• Construct user-facing experiences and internal interfaces utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript as necessary.

• Produce maintainable, well-tested code while engaging in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and production support.

• Assume responsibility for ambiguous challenges, decompose them clearly, and drive them through to completion.

• Acquire knowledge of new components of the stack as required and assist in elevating the engineering quality standards for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proficient production experience with Python.

• Experience in developing full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, or data-driven product functionalities.

• Familiarity with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Background in working with data systems, data pipelines, analytics workflows, or data-intensive applications.

• Interest in or experience with creating systems that support AI, machine learning, LLMs, virtual agents, agent assistance, conversation intelligence, or automation.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including testing, version control, code review, debugging, and maintainable system design.

• Capability to operate across multiple layers of a technical stack and quickly learn unfamiliar technologies.

• Demonstrated self-motivation, strong ownership, and the ability to progress in ambiguous circumstances.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a distributed engineering environment.

• Experience with cloud platforms.
