Azure Data Engineer, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop secure and dependable Azure data pipelines and analytical frameworks for a federal client.

• Create and execute ingestion, transformation, and data quality pipelines utilizing ADLS Gen2, Azure Databricks, and sanctioned orchestration services.

• Transition and modernize Oracle data workloads while maintaining lineage, reconciliation, security, and performance standards.

• Construct medallion-style data models, notebooks, jobs, monitoring systems, and operational support methodologies.

• Partner with business and BI teams on curated datasets, integrate Power BI, and establish data consumption protocols.

• Enforce secure identity, network, storage, and access configurations for Azure Government environments.

• Document operations of pipelines, data quality assessments, recovery processes, and support transfer materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, or analytics platform delivery.

• Practical knowledge in Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, SQL, Python, and orchestration of data pipelines.

• Proven experience in migrating relational or Oracle data workloads to cloud-based data platforms.

• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, and performance enhancement techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective stakeholder communication skills.

• Experience with Azure Government or regulated data platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, or Azure Data Factory is advantageous.

• Certification in Databricks or as an Azure Data Engineer is a plus.
