Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Code, Build, and Ship (70-80% of your time): Develop and enhance core backend (Django) and frontend (React + TypeScript) components.

• Design and optimize APIs for users, orders, shipping, and partner tools.

• Create intelligent integrations with platforms such as Shopify and Mendrix.

• Scale and optimize cloud hosting on GCP, with plans to incorporate AWS in the future.

• Ensure that the tech stack remains clean, scalable, and prepared for future needs.

• Product Engineering (20-30% of your time): Architect and scale multi-tenant SaaS solutions for the next phase of growth.

• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to ensure technical plans align with business objectives.

• Set high standards for code quality, testing (TDD/BDD), and CI/CD workflows.

• Mentor developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence.

• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Full-Stack Experience: Over 10 years as a full-stack developer, proficient in Python (Django) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React).

• SaaS at Scale: Experience in building and scaling SaaS applications that have been tested in production environments.

• Database Expertise: Strong skills in PostgreSQL and ORM are second nature.

• Leadership: Experience in leading teams, balancing coding responsibilities with mentoring and architectural decision-making.

• System Architecture: Ability to design systems that are both elegant and robust while remaining hands-on in the codebase.

• Testing Discipline: Proficient in testing practices, including Pytest, React Testing Library, and TDD/BDD methodologies.

• Development Workflows: Proficient in Git workflows and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines).

• API Mastery: Extensive experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs, JWT Auth, and third-party tools like Shopify and Mendrix.

• Frontend Excellence: Familiarity with modern frameworks (React, MUI) with a focus on creating fast, responsive, and delightful user interfaces.

• Desirable (but not required): Experience with Firebase (Auth, Hosting) or Google Analytics.

• Experience in building SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures.

• Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or scaling startups.
