This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Actively contribute to the team's codebase by writing, reviewing, and owning production-quality code; this role is technical and hands-on.
• Promote and implement AI-first software delivery methods, utilizing AI tools and frameworks to boost development efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance decision-making.
• Advocate for and apply modern engineering practices, including Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Engage in architectural decisions at both the team and system levels, balancing practical solutions with long-term maintainability.
• Assist in decomposing complex technical tasks into clearly defined, deliverable increments.
• Serve as a strong technical contributor within the team, facilitating technical discussions and decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including QAs, product owners, architects, designers, and program management to clarify requirements, identify constraints, and align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Architecture Advice Forum via Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to influence cross-team technical strategies while advocating for evolutionary architecture principles.
• Proactively eliminate technical roadblocks and escalate risks early to safeguard team delivery commitments.
• Strike a balance between delivery speed and technical health—advocating for investments in test coverage, refactoring, and debt reduction.
• Promote test-driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD), and automated testing across all levels.
• Work alongside platform teams to create CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Assist in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Ensure that robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems are established to uphold system reliability and performance.
• Advocate for security-by-design and emphasize responsible data and infrastructure handling.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage in cross-functional discussions with stakeholders.
• Build trust with internal stakeholders by maintaining transparency regarding risks, progress, and technical decisions.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
• In-depth expertise in at least one modern programming language—JavaScript or Java—and a strong working knowledge of frontend and backend frameworks.
• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles (e.g., SOLID, microservices, event-driven architectures).
• Experience with AI tools, frameworks, and platforms, along with their application in software delivery.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (particularly AWS services), as well as containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Proficient in XP practices such as TDD, pair programming, continuous integration, and refactoring.
• Basic understanding of security principles, including secrets management and least privilege.
