Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and manage production systems that support real-time AI calling workflows.

• Create responsive web applications and reusable frontend components.

• Build dashboards for users, administrators, organizations, subscriptions, tasks, call history, and account management.

• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time backend services.

• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access, and secure session management.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Python and Django or similar frameworks.

• Create REST APIs and integrate real-time services.

• Build systems for workflow orchestration, task execution, call management, user management, billing, subscriptions, and organizational administration.

• Integrate telephony, speech recognition, text-to-speech, AI models, payment systems, email services, and third-party APIs.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, migrations, and data-access patterns.

• Develop asynchronous and background-processing systems.

• Build and maintain development, staging, and production environments.

• Containerize applications using Docker.

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines.

• Deploy and operate services on cloud platforms.

• Configure networking, DNS, SSL certificates, load balancing, secrets, storage, databases, and access controls.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code.

• Establish monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, error tracking, and observability.

• Enhance availability, deployment safety, disaster recovery, backups, and incident response.

• Take ownership of features through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Engage in architectural decisions and technical planning.

• Investigate production issues and apply durable solutions.

• Review code and establish engineering standards and documentation.

• Collaborate with product, design, AI, and business teams.

• Communicate progress, tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies.

• Enhance development processes as the engineering organization evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience.

• Extensive experience in full-stack software development.

• Advanced expertise in Python and backend frameworks such as Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, or Flask.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or another contemporary frontend framework.

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, client-server architecture, authentication, authorization, and secure API design.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.

• Knowledge of background jobs, asynchronous processing, message queues, or event-driven systems.

• Practical experience with Docker and cloud-based application deployment.

• Experience in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, HTTPS, cloud security, and production troubleshooting.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, testing, version control, and code-review practices.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership in a dynamic startup environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, WebSockets, streaming services, telephony platforms, ASR, TTS, LLM, AI-agent or machine-learning services, Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, monitoring tools, regulated applications, privacy, encryption, secure credential management, SaaS products, and experience in early-stage startups.
