Full Stack Developer – PHP, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and develop comprehensive full stack web applications utilizing PHP/Laravel and scalable architectures.

• Create dynamic and responsive user interfaces with modern JavaScript, CSS frameworks, and frontend libraries.

• Construct robust RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate data exchange and third-party integrations.

• Design and implement database integrations for effective data storage and retrieval processes.

• Develop Python scripts for tasks such as data processing, web scraping, API interactions, and automation.

• Deploy and manage web applications within AWS, utilizing services like EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.

• Analyze and enhance application performance through caching strategies and efficient loading techniques.

• Establish unit and integration test suites to ensure the quality of applications.

• Create interactive visualizations, dashboards, and content management systems.

• Grasp client challenges and foster enterprise-level innovation via web application development.

• Collaborate effectively with Data Scientists, Data Specialists, DevSecOps Engineers, Developers, and cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in PHP and Laravel, including MVC architecture and Eloquent ORM.

• Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and familiarity with at least one framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Solid Python programming skills for scripting, automation, and frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Experience with relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL and knowledge of web application data optimization.

• Experience with AWS deployment services such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53.

• Proficiency in using Git, modern IDEs, Composer, npm/yarn, and debugging tools.

• Understanding of HTTP protocols, web security principles, API design, and responsive design frameworks.

• 5+ years of professional experience in development and/or software engineering with PHP/Laravel and Python.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating full stack development projects.

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Bonus: experience with integrating LLM APIs, prompt engineering, vector databases, AI-assisted applications, or chatbots.

• Bonus: familiarity with blockchain, smart contracts, Web3, and decentralized applications.
