This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of large-scale enterprise applications and services.
• Establish and uphold application architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Offer technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate technical designs, code, and implementation methods to ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Act as the technical expert in full-stack development and cloud technologies.
• Create and develop scalable web applications utilizing .NET, Java, Angular, and AWS services.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
• Design cloud-native and serverless architectures using AWS services.
• Assess emerging technologies and propose solutions that align with business and technology strategies.
• Ensure applications fulfill performance, security, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Mentor and guide developers in technical skills, software design, and development best practices.
• Assist in the technical onboarding and professional growth of team members.
• Lead code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide effort estimates, technical assessments, and delivery plans for new initiatives.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to effective sprint planning and execution.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies.
• Support production deployments, issue resolution, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Advocate for the adoption of CI/CD pipelines and best practices in DevOps.
• Work with infrastructure and cloud teams to enhance application deployment and monitoring strategies.
• Implement logging, monitoring, observability, and performance tuning solutions.
• Ensure that cloud resources are designed with a focus on security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Profound experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using: C# .NET Core/.NET Framework, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Extensive background in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services, including: EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS/SQS, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar source control and release management systems.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, and DevOps practices.
• Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in implementing event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS, or SQS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, or New Relic.
• Experience managing distributed or offshore development teams.
• Experience in retail, eCommerce, supply chain, or enterprise systems is preferred.
