Full Stack AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize first-principles thinking to dissect challenging problems and deliver robust solutions.

• Comprehend business requirements and create comprehensive product experiences that encompass backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.

• Construct, scale, and oversee infrastructure that includes containerized microservices, orchestration pipelines, and cloud-native architecture.

• Develop and consistently enhance the observability of systems and infrastructure at scale.

• Collaborate with clinical experts and engineers to develop scalable, clinically precise systems that provide actionable insights.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues on a daily basis, taking ownership of problems from alert through to root cause analysis and prevention.

• Challenge existing processes by addressing slow, fragile, or overly complex systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing high-quality code and infrastructure.

• More than 3 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven architecture, or pipeline orchestration.

• At least 2 years of experience with AWS or Google Cloud.

• Practical experience building across the entire stack: backend services using Python, Node, or similar technologies, and frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, and CSS.

• Understanding of containerization, cloud-native deployment patterns, and standard architectural patterns for scalable systems.

• Excellent debugging skills, including tracing issues across multiple services, analyzing logs, forming hypotheses, and resolving challenges under pressure.

• A keen interest in the latest advancements in generative AI and a thoughtful viewpoint on where AI tools are beneficial and where they may fall short.

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Experience in healthcare, clinical data, or value-based care is a plus.

• Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar pipeline orchestration tools is advantageous.

• Experience with Firestore, BigQuery, or other GCP data services is a plus.
