FTS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Deliver both on-site and remote technical assistance at customer and OEM locations across various packaging applications (e.g., VFFS, flow wrap, lidding, HFFS pouch, blister).

• Identify and resolve issues related to materials, machines, and product interactions.

• Produce comprehensive service reports and disseminate actionable insights internally.

• Assist in packaging trials from preliminary testing through to industrial scale-up.

• Work in collaboration with R&D and customers to validate new products and ensure machine compatibility.

• Collect and evaluate essential technical data to expedite product development.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for quality-related challenges, partnering cross-functionally with customers and internal teams.

• Aid in root cause analysis, manage claim resolutions, and reduce business impact.

• Contribute to new business opportunities by facilitating technical trials and customer onboarding.

• Foster strong relationships with customers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.

• Offer technical expertise to assist with specification changes, plant relocations, and business continuity initiatives.

• Organize your own schedule to align with customer and business priorities.

• Monitor progress on trials and opportunities for growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in engineering or a scientific discipline (or equivalent industry experience).

• 1–2+ years of experience in flexible packaging or packaging machinery.

• A solid understanding of converting processes and filling/packaging equipment.

• Familiarity with packaging validation procedures.

• Strong skills in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric approach.

• Capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• A high degree of organization, rigor, and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in both French and English (additional European languages are advantageous).

• Openness to travel up to 70% within the region.
