Frontend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Participate in the development of MiningOS to enhance the operational efficiency of Bitcoin mining facilities

• Contribute to MDK, a toolkit for developers that aims to set the standard within the mining sector

• Implement new features and resolve bugs with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and user satisfaction

• Uphold code quality through adherence to coding standards, conducting code reviews, and utilizing automated testing

• Create and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces and application states for a seamless cross-platform experience

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in large-scale production applications

• Strong expertise in state management utilizing Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar technologies

• Capability to write modular, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code

• Robust skills in testing and debugging intricate frontend applications

• Profound interest or experience in P2P technologies or distributed systems

• Comfort in collaborating within a remote, globally distributed team

• Effective communication skills

• Preferred: experience in desktop application development using Electron, Tauri, or similar frameworks

• Preferred: knowledge of video/audio APIs, WebRTC, media streams, and real-time communication

• Preferred: proven ability to enhance UI performance, including rendering and memory management

• Preferred: experience in developing cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, Linux, or similar environments

• Bonus: previous contributions to open-source software projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology
