Frontend Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with accountants at partner firms to identify pain points in tax workflows and validate solutions.

• Quickly design and deliver high-quality frontend experiences that minimize manual tasks.

• Develop and integrate essential user flows for Tax products in conjunction with product managers and backend engineers.

• Simplify complex, document-intensive workflows into user-friendly, clear interfaces.

• Create reusable frontend components to ensure consistency, speed, and scalability.

• Refactor and enhance frontend architecture to facilitate long-term product growth.

• Maintain performance, accessibility, maintainability, and reliability standards.

• Implement logging, metrics, and instrumentation to proactively identify issues before they impact users.

• Leverage AI coding tools and emerging autonomous development agents to expedite output.

• Contribute to prompt design and UI patterns that enhance the performance and usability of LLM-powered features.

• Engage in product planning to prioritize features that lead to measurable reductions in effort.

• Assist in deployment and rollout by addressing feedback and production challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing production-grade frontend applications.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and contemporary frontend frameworks, preferably React.

• Proven track record of delivering user-facing features in dynamic environments.

• Capability to transition from user discovery to implemented solutions with minimal guidance.

• Experience in building reusable component systems and enhancing frontend architecture over time.

• In-depth knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and frontend performance optimization.

• Familiarity with integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and managing complex data flows.

• Comfort in collaborating closely with non-technical users and incorporating their feedback.

• Experience utilizing AI-driven development tools to boost productivity.

• Strong product intuition with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Bonus: Experience in developing AI or Large Language Model-powered user interfaces.

• Bonus: Knowledge of prompt engineering or LLM observability concepts.
