Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of frontend tooling for Supabase’s marketing/docs website and core product, Studio.

• Deliver products and features from inception to production.

• Utilize support threads, user data, and direct conversations to inform product enhancements.

• Develop and enhance quality pipelines that encompass type safety, linting, formatting, unit and component testing, API contract testing, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size management.

• Implement checks to avoid recurring regressions.

• Collaborate end-to-end across frontend UI, API contracts, preview deployments, and observability.

• Operate independently within a public codebase that is read and contributed to by thousands of developers.

• Review AI-generated code, enhance architecture, and set up verification standards.

• Communicate asynchronously and manage tasks independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in taking a product from inception to launch, engaging real users, and iterating based on their feedback.

• Strong foundation in frontend development with advanced React skills.

• Proficient in TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), streaming, server components, and edge technologies.

• Experience in creating quality and tooling pipelines.

• Familiarity with tools such as Vitest, Playwright, MSW, or similar alternatives.

• Comfort in reviewing and directing AI coding agents.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, communicate clearly in writing, and excel without assigned tasks.
