This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Execute A/B and multivariate testing in Kameleoon utilizing JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Create and enhance sections, templates, and snippets within the Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript.
• Integrate successful test variations into the primary codebase.
• Develop Shopify Functions, Metafields, and Metaobjects, and implement integrations through the Admin API and webhooks.
• Ensure proper event and goal configuration and facilitate data transfer to GA4 and BigQuery.
• Conduct QA tests across various browsers, devices, and markets.
• Monitor performance and stability with an emphasis on flicker, layout shifts (CLS), and loading times.
• Clearly document code for traceability.
• Utilize AI tools for code generation, review, debugging, and documentation purposes.
• Participate in agile processes with Git, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Assist with deployments via CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with the CRO lead, web development team, and external agencies.
• Take on technical ownership of the experimentation setup as you gain experience.
• At least 2–4 years of frontend development experience in an e-commerce setting.
• Ideally, have experience with Shopify / Shopify Plus.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and Liquid.
• Familiarity with A/B testing tools such as Kameleoon, VWO, or Optimizely, or a strong desire to learn quickly.
• Understanding of Shopify Functions, Metafields / Metaobjects, Admin API, and webhooks.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Basic knowledge of web analytics and tracking, especially GA4 and the data layer.
• Awareness of performance metrics and Core Web Vitals.
• Proficient in using Git, conducting code reviews, and working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Detail-oriented work style with a focus on high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and a proactive approach.
• Willingness to evolve towards technical ownership of the experimentation setup.
• Permanent residence in Germany is required.
• 100% remote work within Germany.
