Freight Agent – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Identify and engage potential shipping clients to cultivate strong relationships.

• Provide quotes, schedule, and oversee shipments from collection to delivery.

• Negotiate pricing with both carriers and clients.

• Monitor loads and maintain proactive communication with shippers and carriers.

• Finalize shipment paperwork and address any transit-related issues as they occur.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation (mandatory).

• A current or transferable client portfolio, or proven capability to develop one.

• Proficient understanding of freight brokerage processes and carrier negotiations.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in customer service and account management.
