Freight Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop strong customer relationships and secure freight opportunities.

• Identify and qualify carriers utilizing Ascent’s systems and tools.

• Negotiate rates and manage necessary shipment documentation.

• Oversee shipments throughout the entire lifecycle, from booking to delivery.

• Address service issues through proactive communication.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping in the system and adhere to company compliance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active, transferable book of business is essential.

• Candidates must reside and operate within the United States.

• Comprehensive knowledge of carrier operations, dispatching, and rate negotiation is necessary.

• Familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop is required.
