This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ethiopia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and enhance AI-generated and localized content in Amharic to ensure it flows naturally and is culturally accurate.

• Use applications to pinpoint layout problems, truncated text, and functional errors within Amharic interfaces.

• Clearly document and communicate linguistic and technical discrepancies in English according to testing protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in both written and spoken Amharic.

• High-level comprehension of English with strong written communication abilities.

• Must have access to a Mac computer featuring an Apple Silicon M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer).

• In-depth understanding of contemporary Ethiopian cultural nuances, localized language trends, and regional idiomatic expressions.

• Comfortable navigating new software interfaces and adhering to detailed testing instructions.

• Capable of clearly reporting technical and linguistic issues in English.

• Stable high-speed internet connection is essential.

• A designated workspace that is conducive to remote, independent contract work.

• Outstanding attention to detail.

• Demonstrated professional background as a linguistic tester; freelance experience is preferred.
