Freelance Web Developer – Wordpress

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain tailored WordPress websites for FyerX's internal projects and a variety of client brands.

• Guarantee optimal performance, responsiveness, and adherence to technical SEO standards.

• Build, customize, and set up WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up.

• Integrate functionalities that align with campaign goals and client requirements.

• Partner with marketing strategists, UX/UI designers, and clients.

• Convert creative concepts from tools such as Figma or Adobe XD into scalable, pixel-perfect web interfaces.

• Execute core version updates, server-side enhancements, security patches, and regular backups.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve intricate technical challenges.

• Oversee MySQL database structures.

• Apply caching strategies to ensure reliable user experiences across various browsers and devices.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a WordPress Web Developer.

• A strong portfolio displaying live, high-quality websites and bespoke projects.

• 3+ years of professional experience in web development.

• A robust portfolio showcasing custom WordPress builds for corporate clients, digital agencies, or internal brands.

• Advanced skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.

• In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture.

• Significant experience with custom theme and plugin development.

• Familiarity with popular page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs.

• Strong understanding of web security best practices, mobile-first design principles, and UI/UX fundamentals.

• Excellent organizational, time-tracking, and project management abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with fully remote marketing teams.

• Previous experience working with marketing agencies, brands, or web development studios is a plus.
