Freelance Translator/Post-Editor – German to Dutch

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Edit machine-translated content for the Kaufland.de online marketplace catering to customers and business partners.

• Independently enhance translations and tailor them to meet the standards of the Dutch market.

• Collaborate with freelancers, in-house translators, and project managers to ensure high-quality translations.

• Utilize AI-driven CAT tools to boost efficiency and improve quality.

• Develop and consistently update terminology databases and glossaries.

• Communicate through Slack, email, and online meetings in a remote work environment.

• Revise various types of content, including legal texts, marketing materials, newsletters, and user interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Dutch.

• Proficiency in German at C1–C2 level.

• Ability to translate seamlessly between Dutch and German.

• Relevant professional experience in post-editing and adapting content for the Dutch market.

• A completed degree in a humanities-related field, preferably in foreign languages or translation.

• Strong understanding of CAT software.

• Openness to working with new tools and technologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with freelancers, in-house translators, and project managers.

• Keen attention to detail and effective task prioritization skills.
